I just had that happen testing it out.

I'm going to release an important bug PSA. You can become trapped inside of a snowman. Should this occur, please utilise fast travel to escape from the situation. I am sincerely sorry and will patch this out.

I'm trying to recreate your other bug, but can't. All three items are identical and are copy pasted. So there's definitely no order to them. I am slightly confused! Did you find and interact one before speaking to the quest giver? That does create unique dialogue so maybe that's the root cause.

Damnit, Wolf Kanno is a cheater. Even without Haste he is still too fast. Maybe I should have bought stuff instead of just going with my initial equipment.

It let me retest the quest, at least. This time it let me start at a different one, so just a random one-off bug

Edit: Yeah, I had found one before talking to her initially, but it was before the save I loaded after getting stuck, so who knows.

Not really "needed". I just happened to use them to make quicker. He tended to overuse the Wolf Canoe move in the last fights so I just use the buffs that much this time. Don't forget I have starting equipment. The only non-starting equipment I have used for that battle was the 50% Earth Ring once I did not want to do that anymore.
