Laguna is the only choice for me here. It's weird that pretty much all of these characters I've had problems with over the years. All except FFIX of course.
Right, as soon as I've beaten this damn Kefka's tower then I'm starting FFIX.
Anyway yeah, Laguna. Loved his adorable dorkishness.
Laguna is the best character in VIII.

It's hard to pick between Cloud, Cloud Strife and Mr. Strife.
Only FFIX characters (-Amarant)(+Laguna) had substance. Voted for Zidane on this one, but Steiner is a very close second.
