It gets weird here when people try to be fancy by giving their kids English names because, you know, they heard it on TV so it's fancy. It's all well and good if we're still talking about fairly international names, but a popular choice is Jessica. And it sounds completely different in Polish, and not in a good way. Some people even Polishify the spelling, creating DŹESIKA
Also, knew a woman who had two kids - one was named Gracjan, a very obscure but also very old and traditional Polish name, while the other was Kevin. And no, Kevin is not one of those universal names. I think someone needs to learn about the benefits of sticking to a theme
