Someone who was born during that World Cup would be 32 years old when the next one kicks off. That isn't really that frequently for one of the only places in the world that's actually got enough soccer stadiums already built to manage an event of that size. Especially given that UEFA countries weren't eligible to bid.

CONCACAF was the region that will have gone by far the longest without hosting by then, so who exactly in CONCACAF do you think should be hosting a 48-team major international soccer tournament?
Canada? They have experience hosting world sporting events, the base infrastructure and the money to grow it and the social liberal society that hosting so many different people needs. But you may be right, the idea of the US hosting it again was one part of my problem.
If its gotten to the stage where the tournament is so big that only wealthy nations that have massive infrastructure already in place then what's the point 90% of the nations in FIFA bidding? Just rotate between the US, Brazil and Spain or something.

If I could change another thing it would be joint bids going up against single bids. I'm not saying Morocco was the right country to choose but I don't think any nation could have competed with such a powerful joint bid. I don't think it should have been sanctioned.

But hey ho. Everything about football inside a football stadium I love with a huge passion, everything outside the stadium about football I can't stand. Maybe I'm just bitter!
