But, legit, I like Aerith. I like her playful teasing vibe and banter that she lays down on Cloud. The whole sacrificial lamb thing? Not so much. I've always been into the kind of girl that can give me trout right back and I think Cloud needed someone to knock him down a peg or two when he was taking himself too seriously. Her banter game is an aspect of her personality that gets overlooked because when you think of Aerith you think of THAT scene.
I also think she's one of the prettiest girls in FF but then brunettes have always been my thing too. Edea's good and I get the appeal though. Not really a hill I'm going to die on, just wanted to give an opposing view of why I like Aerith.

Edea is only hot when Ultimecia and her trashy fashion sense kicks in. Matron is pretty boring in fashion sense and she married pudgy, less funny FFVIII Robin Williams. Aerith is spunky and fun to be around.
