Yeah Dagger is cool but I always felt people liked her and talked about her enough for her to not really be underrated
The things this man went through
Aware Garnet also went through a lot, but damn, I adore Barret.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Garnet! She has been through so much, and she grows a lot during the game.
Barret is probably the only character besides Aerith whom I end up liking more and more each time I play through VII. Garnet is actually my least favorite character in IX, but I blame it on her kind of being stupid in the first half of the game and traumatized to the point of uselessness for most of the second half.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
That's my general consensus as well, great story telling application, but man it just made using her a chore from a practical standpoint. It doesn't help I have other misgivings to her gameplay design as well.
I think Barret works better here because IX tries too hard to make you care about Garnet whereas Barret is a pretty compelling hero who just happens to always be overlooked by the rest of the cast. IX wants you to know Garnet is important cause her story is a large part of the plot whereas Barret gets swept under the rug that is Cloud's story.

Sorry, Garnet! You kicked Kuja's butt, but not this contest.
