Odd,because i got up to queatzalii which is further than titan and i had no idea why or what we were doing, granted i had that with XII first time but atleast i knew there was something being told, i just am not a political person. XV just lost me from the get go and all i knew was we were finding weapons of noctis's ancestors or something and thats about it. Maybe i dont like the way the story is told through banter in the party instead of through cutscenes which give you time to absorb it.

FF2 be like: pick a door, any door! Then hate your life, because only one is right and you are going to pick the other three first.

The door thing is pretty bad, still, think that's better than what FF3's final dungeon was though.

I dont mind ff3's final dungeon, but it had the fatal flaw of not enough save points which ruins it all

The story of FF2 was definitely its strongest point. There were some memorable scenes like the destruction of the Dreadnought and Josef's sacrifice. It's a shame the magic levelling system was so poor. It's a mark of Square to try something new with their games... it's just a shame this idea wasn't the best.

I just clear Eureka and save, then do the rest of the tower, which isn't really all that bad.

To be honest, they're just really overpowered even at high levels. I think Cerberus is the only that's fairly easy, but the other three are pretty much designed to force you to bleed through your resources.

Idk, I'd argue that even with saving after Eureka (who in their right smurfing mind would not do that though seriously) the combination of Crystal Tower and Dark World one after the other with no chance of saving when many bosses from the boss rush near the end can kill you effortlessly even if you're relatively high-leveled is incredibly daunting and by far the evilest thing FF has done
