I love Ryan Reynolds but he shouldn't be Pikachu. You know it's him... it's like when they had Kiefer Sutherland voice Snake.... you hear the actor as opposed to the character.

Has anyone played Detective Pikachu on the 3DS? What did you think of it?
I own it and remember enjoying what I played of it. I didn’t play too much as I got distracted by life and just haven’t really been playing on my 3DS. My only real issue was that it was aimed for a younger audience and was way too easy, if I remember right.
That's never bothered me, to be honest. Even if I'm a fan of the actor or actress, I tend to be able to mostly forget and see them as the character. I enjoy being aware that it is an actor/actress I like, the same as I enjoy recognising them in live action, or knowing that a voice actor/actress of a character I like is now voicing another character in a different show (or always did.)I love Ryan Reynolds but he shouldn't be Pikachu. Basically, I'm still aware who they are, and don't mind, but can look past it enough to see the character - especially if it's obviously them, and in some cases, I even find it easy to forget it's them.
