I grew up with CYOA books, so I was very excited to hear about this.

I think the story is pretty uninspired (except how your choices in following tries are reflected by your previous tries), but it's definitely a unique viewing experience and so goddamn special.

My favorite moment was when you kill Colin and he tells you to bludgeon him not use a knife, and is encouraging you to do it. What a weird bro.

It was very Undertale to me with how previous choices affect future ones, and Colin is basically Sans.
