I did have fun with this game, but at the same time it was a disappointment.
- The very main reason it felt like that to me is that it felt like a rushed conclusion. I think the BS secret ending, Re:Coded, and DDD did a great job setting up the finale and KH3 just kind of dumped it in the end and said "Here you go."
- I don't like how detached Sora was in some of the worlds. The story unfolded in Arendelle and The Caribbean in the background without involvement by Sora and co. and he was separated a bit in the second half of Corona if I remember right.
- The 100 Acre Wood was AWFUL. It was there just to be there and essentially had just one minigame. Only one visit.
- Characters such as Kairi and Lea got a shaft. I think the Twilight Town gang were represented better than them, but no by much. I also wish there was more to the town than just cooking.
- No Final Fantasy characters.
- No super bosses.
- Maleficent and Pete added NOTHING. I'd rather they weren't in it at all.
- I get the clash between the 13 and 7, but it's a shame there wasn't more of that through the game. Kind of how I wish there were more Organization XIII fights outside of TWTNW in KH2.
BUT, despite my gripes, I did have fun. Gameplay was solid and the worlds were fun (especially The Toy Box, Corona, and San Fransokyo). There were some great cutscenes, too, like Roxas' return, Aqua and Ven coming back, and COME GUARDIAN breaking free. Oh yeah, TETRA FLARE.
I am looking forward to the DLC and it appears that it will address some of the issues with the base game, but it was still missing from the initial experience.
