This is true of most subreddits, though. I can try posting on r/hockey and get downvoted into oblivion for liking the most hated team, or I could get downvoted on r/gaming because I don't happen to buy into the whole "EA BAD" craze. Hot takes get you downvotes.

I'd still be wary of hot takes on here. Particularly if you happen to like Final Fantasy XIII.
