If you showed me a vaguely blue shape with red shoes I would "know it was Sonic." That's not a very high bar.

Due to all the feedback, the design is going to be changed.
To be perfectly fair to the film. While Robotnik/Eggman is a bit too cartoonish, I feel they have him and Sonic down pretty decently. Really, my only real beef here is that we're doing the whole "Master's of the Universe" nonsense again where it looks like both characters were accidentally transported to our world, because it's cheaper and easier to film a live action piece with a cgi character than actually trying to take Sonic's cracktastic plot lines (not like he hasn't had half a dozen soft reboots as well as alternate timeline shenanigans when you try to bring the comics into this) and try to make a sensible film about it that average audiences with rudimentary knowledge of the franchise can stomach.
I mean, I don't even feel like this is a train wreck, because let's be honest here, the franchise has been one for a number of years now.
True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Also, don't forget Sonic doesn't have white hands. He wears smurfing gloves. They better sort this out too.
Moving to February 2020 so they can re-design Sonic - will still be terrible
"Excuse me Miss, do you like pineapple?"
I for one cannot wait until Ace Ventura 3 hits theaters.

Did you have to Google that or did you actually watch it?

I haven't watched it, but I was aware that it existed.
I mean honestly, the film looks more like a Howard the Duck redo than a sequel to Ace Ventura.
