We've discussed franchises we started but then fell off the wagon, and even some we want to check out, but what about franchises you have no real desire to partake in?

True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I don't think I could possibly care less about Smash.
Bethesda.
None of the games/gameplay clicked for me. I'm very meh about them.
Assassin's Creed for me. Beat the first game and found it thoroughly mediocre, played an hour or two of the second and dropped it out of sheer boredom.
Most WRPG, shooter and 3D Nintendo franchises. Not that I don't enjoy some of those occasionally, but as it stands I have no desire to play any Halo, Battlefield, Gears of War, Bioshock, Red Dead, 3D Zelda, first person Metroid, Gothic or Bethesda games. Could add the 3D open world Mario games but I did give those more of a try and just didn't enjoy them, so dunno if that counts.
Also not really interested in the Tales of or DQ games, though I might get to those if I ever make it through the mountain of JRPGs that look a lot more worth playing through.
Not to force you to play it or anything but. First person metroid is less a shooter and more classic metroid, if that has any bearing on anything.
Games i tend to avoide are sports and most fps games aswell.. Usually modern CoD and Battlefield. Battle royales are boring to me aswell. Pretty much jumped off the Halo boat aswell after Halo 5 being an absolute dissapointment.
Most MMOs for me.
Some other types of games I tend to not care about:
-Sports games
-Most licensed games based on TV/Movies etc
-Spin-offs from established IPs that release a crappy tie-in to a currently popular genre of gameplay
-Generic FPS franchises like Call of Duty and Gears of War
And yeah, I don't like MMO's either, especially when they're considered part of a main series (like XI and XIV)

Final Fantasy.
and most turn-based JRPGs, because zzz emoji
Warcraft, League of Legends, most online games actually. Most mobile games. Gachas. Most FPS games, racing games, all sports games, simulations, visual novels, Telltale games. Games on PC or other systems I never owned.
Post-NES Megaman. Post-PS1 Twisted Metal.
Fortnite, Borderlands (I almost tried it, but got bored at the opening sequence), Elder Scrolls, Panzer Dragoon Saga, Dragon Quest (except VIII which I bought for the FFXII demo), Drakengard, Dragon Age, BioShock, Portal, Guilty Gear and Blazblue (most fighting games outside of Mortal Kombat), "Tales of" since the first one, most-GTA clones, most-sandbox games, Halo, RDR, Mii games, dance games (esp DDR... neither my fingers nor my feet are fast enough for this genre). Most NIS, Animal Crossing, Monster Hunter, games like Monster Rancher...
A shorter list as to my likes: basically customizable games and RPGs.
Jack: How do you know?
Will: It's more of a feeling really.
Jack: Well, that's not scientific. Feeling isn't knowing. Feeling is believing. If you believe it, you can't know because there's no knowing what you believe. Then again, no one should believe what they know either. Once you know anything that anything becomes unbelievable if only by virtue of the fact you now... know it. You know?
Will: No.
If Demolition Man were remade today
Huxley: What's wrong? You broke contact.
Spartan: Contact? I didn't even touch you.
Huxley: Don't you want to make love?
Spartan: Is that what you call this? Why don't we just do it the old-fashioned way?
Huxley: NO!
Spartan: Whoa! Okay, calm down.
Huxley: Don't tell me to calm down!
Spartan: What's gotten into you? 'Cause it sure as hell wasn't me.
Huxley: Physical relations in the way of intercourse are no longer acceptable John Spartan.
Spartan: What? Why the hell not?
Huxley: It's the law, John. And for your information, the very idea that you suggested it makes me feel personally violated.
Spartan: Wait a minute... violated? Huxley what the hell are you accusing me of here?
Huxley: You need to leave, John.
Spartan: But Huxley.
Huxley: Get out!
Moments later Spartan is arrested for "violating" Huxley.
By the way, that's called satire. Get over it.
