I honestly don’t know if I have a top 10 list that isn’t fluid. Off the top of my head I’ll go.
10. Dragon Age Origins.
This game dominated my Xbox for a long time and I loved it. I was even one of those people who loved the Deep Rosds in the game. The reason it fell out of favour with me was the time in the Fade. Couldn’t stand the Fade and it felt like more of a chore I had to do then enjoyable game time.
9. Zelda A Link to the Past.
Great story and lots of Fun exploring Hyrule trying to figure out all its Secrets.
8. Final Fantasy (Original)
What started as a rental store mistake lead me down the path of RPG’s. Are there better Titles in the series? Of course there are but it still holds a place close to my heart as the game that got me into RPG’s
7. Elder Scrolls V
This was my first taste of true open world and you could do anything. Besides the Dark Brotherhood quest line had one of the best quests in the franchise with a little murder mystery spoiler alert you are the murderer.
6. Super Mario World SNES
Spent years playing trying to figure out the secrets of this game while having a blast doing it.
5. Dragon Age II
Yes I liked the second better then the first. Hawke’s story was just great. The game should have been released a little later then it did as they went and reused maps due to time crunch but the story was great!
4. Romance of the Three Kingdoms XI
I love bringing my units steam rolling through ancient China and becoming a complete King!
3. Elder Scrolls VI Skyrim modded
With Mods the game is great and one I still play often. Just so many ways to play that I keep coming back.
2. Final Fantasy Tactics
The best story in the series and probably the toughest game of the series. Loved Ramza’s story.
1. Chrono Trigger
This game is awesome! It holds up today as a total masterpiece and keeps me coming back for one play through a year at least.

9. Suikoden I and II
8. The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
7. Mega Man 2
6. Persona 3
5. Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne
4. Xenogears
3. Final Fantasy VI
2. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater
1. Chrono Trigger

As usual, this is in no particular order and this is in no way a permanent list because this fluctuates for me constantly and I hate ranking the things I like.
The Witcher 3 (this one is consistently #1 but it definitely wouldn’t be here without me reading the books and playing the other two first)
Undertale
Xenogears
Persona 3
Final Fantasy Tactics Advance
Chrono Trigger
Baldur’s Gate (both)
Breath of the Wild
Dragon Quest VIII
Kingdom Hearts Chain of Memories

Glad to see the original Final Fantasy get some love.

Was planning on making a countdown thread once I've completed a couple more games on my immediate to play list, so I'll withhold for now =P

What if you were to limit yourself to one game per franchise, like I did?
-
First the triumvirate:
1. FFVII
2. FFVIII
3. Suikoden II
Even if I'm not 100% certain about order among them, I'm sure those are my three favorite so I'm setting them aside as in a solid unassailable position. The rest are of fairly uncertainty position in my list and could not only move down in ranks on the top 10, but possibly be displaced by my honorable mentions.
4. FFVI
5. FFIX
6. Xenogears
7. Persona 5
8. Persona 4
9. Persona 3
10. FFX
Honorable mentions (no particular order):
FFIV
FFT
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger
Chrono Cross
Suikoden V
I'm fighting especially hard to keep from replacing FFX with FFIV telling myself it's just nostalgia, but it is the FF game I've played most, so nostalgia or not I may just crack and switch them around.
