It was actually pretty nice of them that they gave any type of response at all. A lot of companies don't give any responses at all to the drivel that a lot of those fan sites come up with. Nor should they. If companies made a habit of responding to the rumors created by sites like that it would only encourage more people to create their own gossip sites and spread things around that in many cases they just completely made up.
