It's a fun little romp. I liken it to Final Fantasy Kingdom Hearts.
It's been years, but I remember my wife having a pretty good time with it. I think it got a bit grindy towards the end of the game, but that's a common complaint for RPGS + adults.
I still firmly believe it's amongst the best Final Fantasy titles in history, and is for me unquestionably the best Pokémon game in history (ie, what they should have been doing all along).
