Again, I have no clue regarding either game's OST, although I'm tempted to vote for Star Ocean simply to vote against Xenoblade.
Xenoblade X has one of my favorite OSTs in gaming overall. It’s definitely got a unique feel to it and it won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but to me personally it’s just an incredibly powerful soundtrack
Nothing against Sakuraba's work on SO2, as that was long before I got tired of his soundtracks, but yeah, same as Fynn, Xenoblade X's OST is one of my favorites. I absolutely love Sawano's work.
I've only played a little bit of each of these games so I can't really weigh in.
