I love The Old Republic, but its gameplay is hot garbage. I've never played Xenogears, but it'd be hard for it to be worse.

Yeah, I have nothing against the MMORPG tab-target combat system in general, but The Old Republic's a fairly weak implementation of it. It all feels very clunky and floaty compared to the likes of WoW and FF14.
Plus I really liked Xenogears combat, turn-based with combos and all that.
This is super easy for me. I quite like Xenogears gameplay, even if it is a little simple. I can pretty easily tell from the video that Old Republic does not have a gameplay style I favor.
I’ve never really been a critic of Xenogears’ gameplay. It’s perfectly fine.
