    Mass Effect 2's gunplay is definitely more sophisticated and just feels better, but I love the fact Deus Ex gives you the freedom to just not get into gunfights and do things your way. Mass Effect on the other hand only very rarely does this, usually a situation automatically devolves into cover-based shootouts.

    So yeah, my vote goes to Deus Ex for giving me more freedom, even if it is technically more clunky

    I've never played Deus Ex, although I would very much like to vote for it, since I have no love for Mass Effect.
