True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: Step out the front door like a ghost into the fog Where no one notices the contrast of white on white And in between the moon and you, the angels get a better view Of the crumbling difference between wrong and right
I don't know about FFXIV. I've heard it has a good plot, but I really can't believe an MMO could have as good a plot as Suikoden III, because MMOs by their nature have a different focus.
That's true of a lot of MMOs, but FFXIV is pretty special in that regard. It really focuses on its main plot, to the point where a significant amount of other content is gated behind story progress. There are other areas where it falls short, but its plot is good enough to rival a lot of single-player RPGs.

Is this specifically A Realm Reborn, or does it include the expansions that came after?![]()
It would count the expansions as well. MMO's always throw a monkey wrench into these types of discussions, but I would assume the people who nominated the entry were probably discussing the whole package.

The ARR is probably there in the poll so no one assumes this is about 1.0
In that case FFXIV yeah. With ARR it was very much still finding its footing in terms of story and pacing, but with the expansions it's up there.
