True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: Step out the front door like a ghost into the fog Where no one notices the contrast of white on white And in between the moon and you, the angels get a better view Of the crumbling difference between wrong and right
Finally, a category that actually makes sense for the nominees![]()
This was a tough call. I really like SMT's art, and all the various demon designs it has. And with Outer Worlds, Obsidian often seemed to lean too heavily on their past with Fallout, even in the art department.
But when Outer Worlds doesn't do that, its sci-fi art is great. And I love sci-fi art.
So, in the end, I gave it to Outer Worlds. Just barely.![]()
I'm certainly bias here...
Yet I really love Retro sci-fi art. It's the main thing that keeps Fallout in my radar because I really love the aesthetics. With that said though, Nocturne's art style is incredibly unique, even among the franchise it's from. The Outerworld's looks great, but it's too reminiscent of the team's previous efforts whereas you would be hard pressed to find something that looks like Nocturne in the genre.
