First off, I'd be hard-pressed to think of any game that bests Chrono Trigger on side content. It's certainly not a Mario and Luigi game. And Mario on villains? Not really it's strong suit. Granted, I don't care for Lavos too much, but CT has other great villains. Most notably Magus, but also Zeal, and Ozzie and Dalton as nice comic relief villains.
