True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
Wow tough. I definitely going to have to give it to ToCS on plot. The other categories are tougher. Replay value. I just don't know....although I did replay DQVIII so it has some decent replay for such a long game. Art direction? Well, ToCS is fairly generic kind of stuff, but I'm also not a huge Toriyama fan. Kind of generic anime vs generic Toriyama. Still DQVIII is a beautiful game. I think I'd give art direction to DQVIII, but only slightly so it doesn't tilt the scales too much. This is a tough one, but I think I'm going to give it to ToCS on the whole.
If anything this whole event has made me want to look into these Cold Steel games.

The master plan comes to fruition
Anyway, plot's a no-brainer for me again here. As for the art style, I won't deny Cold Steel's art style is pretty generic, but I'm not a fan of Toriyama's art style at all, so I'd still vote CS there too.
Which leaves replay value, and..well, i don't remember at all how much replay value DQ8 has. Cold Steel has some though, with bonding events that you can't all see in one playthrough, as well as a few easily missable things. I also just love the gameplay, so that helps.
Honestly, probably, because as someone who hasn't played Sky, I can say there are number of characters who it seems like you're supposed to know who they are when they're introduced.
Is it Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky? The PSP game? I'm pretty sure my PSP still works if I have the charging cable for it...

That's the one, yup.
