Unless you're gonna live in a cave - that isn't gonna work

I'm currently working part time, looking at September full time hopefully. Personal life wise I went through some significant changes of late. For the most part they're for the good. Though some of them will shock many.

Congrats! That's what I'm hoping for. My wife and I keep alternating between "yeah, we got this" and "holy trout how will we ever do this"

I plan on locking everything down as much as I can. The internet is soooooo bad now, like holy trout. I'm constantly checking in with my nephew (he's 13 this year) to make sure he's not like, going down some alt-right brainwashing rabbit hole on youtube. It's smurfed.

I'm not ready to share some of it. I think it would be too big a shock for some people here having known me for so many years. I say this because it shocked me!

But I'm in a better place mentally at the moment than I have been in as long as I can remember. I'm at peace, or as close to at peace as I've ever been in my life.

He's overcome his fear of bees and has taken up the saxophone. He's also finally learned how to cook scrambled eggs.

You know what is hard? Perfecting an omelet. That trout is difficult. Steve, did you get your omelet game down?

Man, speaking of, where my pandemic chefs at? If there was one positive thing to come out of this whole deal, it's that my cooking game stepped the smurf UP.

Saxophone playing is hard but easier than the fear of bees

Spell omelette like a man of Britain you traitor.

My omelette game is generally decent but I have one downfall. I love to overfill them because I am a greedy smurfer and they sometimes struggle and burst open. It's worth it every single time though.

I have never made an omelette that didn't turn out just kinda squishy and weird tasting. I have gotten very good at pancakes from scratch though. Once we're into our new house and have more space, my wife and I have agreed we are buying a waffle iron so I can get on that too.

The 'omelette' I make for my kids came out of a sort of mistake. I was making a traditional omelette that folds over but there was too much cheese and it overflowed and fried up in the pan. They liked the crispy cheese so much I started sprinkling it on top and frying it up like that. Then they stopped eating the part with the gooey cheese in the middle and just asked for the crispy one. Now I basically make an egg pancake with fried cheese (on both sides). They love it though.

They're not wrong. Crispy cheese is pretty good. Casomorphins are powerful.
