Do you ever grind? Do you want to get specific spells by a certain point?

Over the years I've made checkpoints in my mind. For Lulu, I try to get the -ra spells before the Mushroom Rock Sinspawn and the -ga spells before the second fight with Seymour.

If you come to a lvl 1 lock, do you just keep going or do you hold that position until you get a chance to unlock it?

I can hold out for lvl 1 locks because they're more abundant, but 3 and 4 locks early on I just move on.
