    FFXIV Character

    Kurisu Kazama (Sargatanas)

    Default Theatrhythm Final Bar Line

I've never played a Theatrhythm title before, but I've been playing the demo for Final Bar Line and I've been loving it!

The demo features stages and characters from FFII, V, VII, XIII, XIV & XV. Have the game on preorder now! Looking forward to it.

Who else has played the demo, and will you be purchasing the full game?

Loved the demo. Would definitely love to play the full game. Bothered by how some songs are locked behind the digital deluxe version since I vastly prefer owning a physical copy but whatever

You can upgrade the physical version, from my understanding

Loved the demo as well. Still like the DS controls more since wavy green bars make more sense in that version, but I love how they retooled the ability and summon systems. Even on expert, the game can be a challenge. Looking forward to the full release.

What is the best summon you've unlocked so far?

The "wavy green bars" are so satisfying on the field stages! "Harvest" from FFV & "The Chase" from FFVII are my two favourite uses of it so far!

I've unlocked quite a few summons. Shiva, Ifrit, Ramuh, Leviathan, Alexander, Bahamut and Odin, but I've not used Bahamut or Leviathan yet.

Alexander is my favourite so far - just because when you Summon him he's so imposing and lingers on the screen a bit before his attack bursts. You can almost feel the power. However I do feel like the triggers are a bit hard to see when he's there as it's so flashy!

I finally got back to this game and have largely finished going through series mode. I just need to complete some of the challenges. A little miffed FFVI got snubbed in the amount of tracks it had, while FFXIV got a whopping 32 tracks.

The character skill system is interesting, at first I wasn't a fan because it made certain challenges more of a pain and some characters lost their usefulness, but now I'm looking at it more as a party composition type deal, and it's made using more characters for different tasks much more viable. So cool beans.

I agree FFXIV had way too many tracks! And the one game I never played.

It makes sense. FFXIV does have four games worth of songs tbecause of the expansions (With Dawntrail and Endwalker not having been released at this point). Thre expansions in particular are some of the best songs in FF history, though A Realm Reborn's soundtrack was.... far from that. And so it's a pity that ARR has so many tracks on this game.

It's always frusttrating when FFXIV is in these multi game crossovers, because they tend to only include characters and content from the very beginning. The early game is distinctly meh, and you rarely see any space for expansion content which is when FFXIV becomes outstanding. It was refreshing to actually have Shadowbringers content in the game.

Yeah it's got a surprising amount of depth and strategy to it. I don't think there's any one combination that can complete every single challenge. Ace, Aphmau, Lightning 2 (and a situational A.N. Other) are a ridiculously broken team, but I still had to bench them a few times.

Outside of completing challenges and getting high scores, I've done pretty much everything for FBL, so I'm going to bench it now because it's been getting in my way of playing FFXI the last few days.
