When I did distance running I always got excited for rain. I think some of my best times were in the rain or sleet. I think it was my body staying nice and cool. Congrats on the run Del! I always really liked the 5kNicely done. I've never liked rain running but living in the UK it's not really optional! When I did my first ever parkrun 5k a few years ago it was in the pouring rain and part of the course was actually flooded with knee high water. It was a smurfing experience for a total novice runner.
I am pretty solid on the 5K now. Working on the 10K. For that one, it is more about will than anything.
