Chrono Cross is better than Chrono Trigger

Because it is more to the point with the gameplay. And it got a physical release on Switch
Chrono Trigger is bare minimum game and more of a overly glorified visual novel with sprite animations. Its so awkward.

I can't even begin express how much I disagree with this opinion. CC does have some great qualities to it, but gameplay is certainly not one of them. Even the few parts it does right, I would point out that CT also did, and frankly better. Granted, I am not going to say that CT is some objectively god tier title. You either like it or you don't, but to say it's CC's gameplay that makes it better is just wrong in my opinion. So many easier avenues we could have gone down with this comparison.

Yeah, I mean, love it or hate it, few games are as tightly, deliberately designed as Chrono Trigger, so while it’s fair to dislike it, there is nothing “mid tier” about it. But I guess this is just what the Internet does to people’s brains lmao

I keep meaning to buy Chrono Cross on Steam, but I've heard it's very, very janky.

Trigger though for is it at the pinnacle. There's basically nothing about it I dislike.
