Well, we have a release date, a price point... sort of, and even a preview of some titles for it, so who is thinking of picking one up?

True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.

I think overall the price point of the system itself I could justify paying for, especially if we get that 'up to 120FPS' promise actually lived up too, and not just some technically true statement.
But... 80$ for a game? Count me out, that price for all the really big Nintendo games is too much. I have so many good indie and AA studio games coming out that aren't even hitting 60$ that are giving me more value than any AAA title out, there is no way I am justifying game purchases like that. Clair Obscur looks and plays better than most other games out, especially those of the AAA market, and it's only 50.
Well, I have Switch 2, as evidenced by my playing Donkey Kong Bananza in the other thread.
Overall, I'm pretty disappointed so far. There's a real lack of games that put this system above Switch 1. Mario Kart looks amazing but doesn't play a ton better than Mario Kart 8 (which I like better anyway). Hades 2 is super fun but Hades 1 was also fun and was fine on Switch 1. I did play the upscaled version of the new Pokemon game (my kid has the cart so I just paid the $10 for the upgrade), but I'm just not into the real time battles of this pokemon. There's also Metroid Prime 4 out there. Other than that, I can't think of a real killer app that makes you want to trade up your Switch 1.

I got a Switch 2 for Pokopia, which has been really fun but also perhaps in retrospect not quite worth the investment - but hopefully other games down the line will also grab me.
I'm a little miffed, though. I ordered off the Nintendo store online and somehow I have a third party power supply. I only realised this after my dock wouldn't work and the Switch kept saying to check the power supply when I used it. I raised a ticket with Nintendo but it's been a week now with no response and no clear way of chasing them either (the ticket isn't visible, they just send you an email saying "yeah we have your ticket, you should get a reply in 24 hours but it might be 48 hours if we're busy".
I can still play it off-dock but my neck has been getting sore from using a handheld device so much, so I've kind of just stopped playing. Definitely won't be paying Nintendo more money to get their official power supply, or for more games. They need to send me what I paid for... *flips table*
