Requesting Advice & Tips on Getting Started With "Dark Wizard" TRPG

Hello everyone,

I have recently ordered a Sega CD tactical RPG on eBay named “Dark Wizard” and will be playing it soon for the very first time.

I was wondering if anyone here would be so kind as to give me a few pointers on getting started with this game, for those who have played the game. I would greatly appreciate it!

I will also state that I have never actually played a tactical RPG before, so any general advice on how to approach playing them would be welcome as well. As a point of reference, I have only played regular RPGs up to this point in my life (mostly a select few games from the Final Fantasy series), so I am a little concerned that it may be more difficult than what I am used to, as those games are generally considered very easy.

I’ve actually posted something similar to this on the Gamefaqs website, but I have never received any response. The board for this game over there seems to be very dead, and there are not many created topics in the first place, so I thought that I might have better luck on here. I am under the impression that this game isn’t very well known or played, which would explain the lack of discussion on it.
