Well, we all knew it was coming, but it's official, we have an FFTactics Remaster for modern systems.
I am curious if it will be as robust as the Tactics Ogre Reborn in terms of gameplay balancing.

True beauty exists in things that last only for a moment.
Current Mood: And it's been a long December and there's reason to believe. Maybe this year will be better than the last. I can't remember all the times I tried to tell myself. To hold on to these moments as they pass...
I've always put off picking this game back up again so I'm really happy about this, as I think it might just nudge me into finally playing the entire thing.
I wonder if they'll do similar for TA etc. if this does well?
Also: Voice acting! Yay. And wait... Cloud and 'Flower Girl'? Do they absolutely have to be in every game? I mean I adore FF7 to bits but putting them in from the start, not even as DLC or a pre-order bonus or whatever, is a little much and it kind of feels like a disservice to FFT? Just me? I'm sure it'll be fun and fine when I actually play it and seen them there, though, let's face it.
Bow before the mighty Javoo!
Hopefully, but I'm not really betting on it. I've noticed that the Tactics Advance series always seems to get snubbed in recent SE projects. Like the TheaterRythym series that pulls tracks from non-FF games and side music projects and other obscure FF related series, but has never once done a track from either TA title.
I'm not sure if you're joking on this one since you've mentioned never finishing FFT before, but Cloud and Aerith have been in the game since the original. Hell, it started the Ribbon joke for Cloud in all the other media he's been playable in outside of VII. FFTactics technically references the first seven FF games throughout its lore with several locations and even some figures, having their own equivalent in the Ivalice universe. Though Cloud in this case is directly the Cloud from VII, you'll have to play the game yourself to see why. The real question here is whether they'll include Balthier and Luso from the WotL version, but seeing how it seems like their using that entry as the basis, it's plausible but the Job tree seen in the trailer is also missing the Dark Knight and Onion Knight classes that version brought in, so I could see this being similar to a PR situation where they are trying to keep it closer to the original.Originally Posted by Loony Bob
