Default Boss theme from FF7 is taken from Motorhead

The beginning riff i mean. Not the whole music. Likely heavily inspired.

But if you listen to the beginning riff of both

    FF7 Boss theme

Its very similar. What you think?

For me, i think its awesome! Since i love Motorhead! And FF7 is a very iconic game!

Yeah, Uematsu loves prog rock and metal. Once the tech caught up to it, he could really let loose with his inspirations and callbacks to artists he loved.

Funny enough, he also tends to borrow from himself. Aerith's theme takes a few chords from Celes' Theme while Eyes on Me takes a few from Relm's Theme. He also used the same bass line for the first six battle themes in the series if memory serves me correctly.

He did, and it's also in the final battle in Final Fantasy VIII and in the battle theme for Final Fantasy IX (the latter is the most likely to be intentional, of course, as Final Fantasy IX is basically the nostalgia Final Fantasy, but it's awesome, in my opinion, if they all were intentional.)

I genuinely love it when songs sound similar, so this whole thing is awesome, however it happened. Though it is likely on purpose (and awesome that it is), as it has likely happened before (there's definitely some "Wipeout" trying to get in, during Final Fantasy VII's Chocobo battle music...)
