Well considering I haven't played Rebirth and have an ambivalent relationship with VIIR to begin with, I can't exactly say the guy's on my radar. I never played Mobius either, so I really don't have much to go on besides Remake.
I mean I've given up on the idea Hiroyuki Itou or Takashi Tokito will ever direct another mainline entry as well, which is why I didn't mention either of them. I'm especially missing Itou because I'm replaying FFIX currently and this game is sooo good.
But, I'm curious to know if they have even settled on a development team to pre-plan, or if they are just going to pour everything into FFVIIR3, XIV expansions, and KH4 and simply wait for the dust to settle there before really starting? But I am honestly starting to consider the new MMO entry. I know XIV is doing well, but we said the same thing about XI when XIV got dropped on us, and even XI is still going. But it's been over a decade since it's release, and MMOs have been the most financially lucrative entries in the franchise besides VII:EU, so I can see them wanting to jump in with a new entry while keeping XI around a bit longer as a legacy title and start the very slow process of winding down XIV and have it go through the same motions XI went through.
