Meh, I didn't know about Election Booth, but the other second accounts aren't particularly legal. The users who formed them haven't gotten in a tremendous amount of trouble, but I'm guessing that's because each of them had a specific, humorous purpose. Still, second accounts are always frowned upon.

Users are usually given a second chance, though. They are always given a warning before they get banned, and will only get banned if they persist doing the kinds of things that irked the staff members and users in the first place. The only behaviour that ever warrants an insta-ban is when someone registers for the obvious purpose of being a menace, such as posting a virus or launching personal attacks on members they don't even know.

Britt has to worry about running a site and thus has a lot of stress on his hands, but I agree with you that his phrasing could be more pleasant as of late. It's bothered me, too; sometimes it even has come close to the boundaries of being hurtful, at least towards myself. However, he just uncensored "peace," so I suppose I shouldn't complain too much.
