The reason why this has happened si because of how WinME orders the letters of partitions. "Primary" partitons get priority of letters over "Logical" - my guess is you made a Primary Partition on the new HD, and since that gets priority, it nicked the othe drive letters
Use Partition Magic to delete it (make sure it's empty, which it should be if it's a new drive), then creaste a new one, making sure the new one you make is a Logical Partition.
Of course, if any of the letters that changed was a CD drive or something, you can't change it back (in WinME anyway), CD letters always come after HD latters. But doing what I said above will fix any changed letters of old HDs![]()
