I like AIM smileys because they're small - for someone with a small font size, they'd be a wonderfully nice alternative to using the vBulletin smileys and stretching the text lines, I think.

I'd say so, since I've never been the only one who uses a small font size.Plus, it's not just the fact that they're small that makes me like them - they're also easy to remember, and AIM's >:O is one of my favourite smileys ever.
If you want to add an A before all those smiley codes I gave, to denote them as "AIM," you could do that - if Yahoo smileys were added, for example, I don't think "Y" would work if there were already a "
, in my experience. That might make the notion less offensive to some people.

Those are some good smileys, though - although someone should go and turn the question marks in that one to white rather than black, so we can see that they're there. But the AIM ones are good too.
