I downloaded this video and when I try to open it it gives me the following message: No combinaison of filters could be found to render the stream. I already have DIVX and lots of other codecs, do you know what could be the problem?

What's the file extension? If it's .divx, then you need a specific DivX Player, because nothing else can read it. If it's .rm or something with an r, then it's a Realplayer video file, and you need Realplayer to read it.

nevermind about this, I was told yo use the DIVX player (I was using the Windows Media plug-in) and it worked.
Thanks to Yu-Law
Media Player is pure garbage. Even if you have the right codecs sometimes MP can't or won't find them.
Another solution is to get the Nimo Codec pack; That makes those videos using the pirated Divx Audio codec work even in Windows XP.
Nimo Codec pack eh? Where on the internet might I find such a glorious pack of codecs?
Just be careful with installing other versions of DivX before or after the nimo codec pack, you might get some strange resultsI find the best way is to not let Nimo install the DivX codecs (apart from the audio one) and use the proper DivX packs for them instead, in the right version order

I just run everything I possibly can in WinDVD these days.
It's quite ironic that I can play the Final Fantasy Anime trailer in Media Player(old version for windows 95), but not on Windows Media Player 9. Stupid Microsoft products.![]()
I alreayd Installed Nimo. I spent lots of time trying to find out which one I should install, Ended up installing most of them. but it still doesnt work in WinMedia. I only have to open it with DIVX player.
It could be an incomplete file or one with it's index file corrupted. WMP can't play those sorts of files, but DivX player can.
Possible, but I downloaded the file twice already, they both had the problem.
