Depends on the type of board it is, EZboard, vB, UBB... etc.

I'm just guessing here, but it might be similar to phpBB. Just connect to the FTP site and there should be a GIF or JPEG file named logo or something in the template directory. Make your own logo, then name it whatever the name of the vB one is and upload it and overwrite the old one.
