inferno10, I got the same error box. I thought I'd try this program out on this 366 Celeron computer just to see how troutty it really is. But, it's pretty bad when the test program doesn't even work on here...

I guess I'm stuck with gettin' it on the PS2 (If they put it on the PS2 in the first place), unless I get a new computer sometime soon.

Inferno10, I'd say it's your video card. Could be just bad drivers for your video card, but heck ATI has troutty drives. Try to up-date your drivers then try the benchmark. If you still get the error, then I would just buy a new graphics card. If you do up-grade go with Nvidia, their support and prices are awesome.

Radeon 9000 64mb DDR ( Changing to GeForce FX 5200 128mb DDR next month)

30 gig Quantom Fireball 5400 RPM HD

its hand built by me too. I'm getting the GeForce FX 5200 because Square is optimizing it to run on the NVidia cards so i thought i might as well get a good one :mog:

haha as for square optimizing the game for nvidia cards, that's pretty much just something nvidia's paying square to say. if you look at bench mark scores radeons's work better. they named the radeon 9700 pro the official beta card for ffxi. but if you get a card that's over kill like the fx 5900 pro or the radeon 9800 pro you're set lol. but i don't know who wants to spend $500 on a graphics card.

11159? I'm only getting 3500's so if i update my system to pretty much match yours i'll be getting 11k's?

My score before was a joke... I actually got 995... which is the main reason I'm getting the ps2 version XD

I don't see the point in spending X amount of dollars just to play a couple games... especially when I'm not employed

u think the score is crappy but its not...

...u think your comp is crappy well its not..its your Video Card....wonder why it costed so cheap?

Nonetheless the game will work fine with ur specs.
