All ePSXe and no Microsoft Sidewinder pad makes Purgatory a very angry boy

OK, I recently upgraded my OS from Win ME to 2k, but I've now developed a host of problems. Admittedly, I've sorted all of them out but this one...

When I use my Microsoft Sidewinder Pad in ePSXe, it immediately tries to reinstall it via 2k's ability to auto-detect the pad. Is there anyway to get around this since it means I can't play any more CC!

Perhaps it really does need reinstalling in the Game Controllers control panel icon? And clibrating as well?

If you let it install itself first, then try to play, it shouldn't try to reinstall again. I know I have to sometimes reinstall/recalibrate my gamepad after a reboot, but once it's been detected the irst time during that reboot, it's fine.
