Ashi can't get her resolution to work on her new computer.

Ashi: it doesn't work with 1024x768 even though it's the SAME monitor and the SAME video card

Ashi: my eyes can't take 800x600 for much longer I will seriously go blind because it's all huge

Ashi: never mind
Loony_BoB: Then appearance and themes
Loony_BoB: Then click on any of the options and move to the 'Settings' tab on the new window.
Loony_BoB: It should be there.
Ashi: um
Ashi: the bigger resolution just does not work
Ashi: everything looks screwy
Loony_BoB: Gah.
Loony_BoB: Try changing it and then shutting down and restarting.

Installed the drivers for the monitor and video card yet? If not, it'll stick at 800 x 600 for now

Control Panel > Administrative Options > Compuer Management, and you should see a Device Manager option in the left hand list. You'll see there what Windows recognises the monitor and video card currently as.
