    Default Sound recording help.

Well I've been trying to record my voice using my mic but for some reason everytime I record and play back what I recorded it comes up as if I recorded nothing. Just a blank sound coming from the recording. Can anyone help me?

And yes I do have the mic/speaker turned on and plugged in.
    This space intentionally left blank.

Make sure the mic is selected in the Volume Control Thingy. I'm on Win98 so I'm not sure if it's exactly the same, but check it: Double Click on Volume Control in the system tray, click on Options, then Properties, then Recording, and then check the box that says "Microphone." Click Ok, and then check the box that says "Select" under "Microphone." It's a similar process for other systems, prolly. Ah well. *twirl*

In WinXP, it'll be unticking Mute instead (allows recording from multiple sources). In Recording, of course, not Playback
