Thread: I need a free program to burn mpg files to CD-R

    Default I need a free program to burn mpg files to CD-R

    Anyone know? And will most DVD players play mpg files burned to CD-R discs?? I want to burn a music video complilation, and I'm a total dolt at this. Help would be appreciated!

    Depends on the DVD player - mine can't read CDRs of any sort, no even audio ones.

    As for making Video CDs (using those MPGs), dunno about any free ones, but Easy CD Creator (with the video CD option installed) should be able to do it. Ain't tried myself, I find MPGs too low quality myself

    If you are interested in making Video CDs (MPEG discs playable in most DVD players), then get a free program like VCDeasy.

    Also check out http://www.vcdhelp.com for a ton of other authoring and playing programs. You can even look up any DVD player to see if it will play CDRs and VideoCDs.
