You forget that Leon, Aerith, Yuffie, and Cloud all came from Cid's world, too. (SPOILER)Squall, Aeris, and Yuffie escaped on Cid's gummi ship before their world was destroyed. Cloud also escaped the destruction- but he must've escaped like Sora did (sucked up through the huge portal) because he woke up in a strange world confused and lost. But I guess the Cid Island idea would be kinda cool..... there are only like 5 or 6 Cids though.
