It might be a good idea to add a "formerly known as" field to the profile, editable only by admins. I've seen some members I'm SURE aren't new from their custom rank, but I've no clue who they are. If we had a way to track names someone used to possess, it'd be a heck of a lot easier in that regard
So feel free to add the field, if you like

Yeah, but how many people actually check other peoples profiles? I certainly don't do it all that often... However, if this did come into place, I could see it being a more regular thing for lots of members if they see a name they don't recognise...
