I wasn't posting when post counts were removed, so I don't pretend to understand why the admins decided to do so.

However, if you bring post counts back, it's not like everyone will suddenly go on a rampage. I doubt it would make any significant difference at all, right now.

I remember when I was coming up on 2000 posts that I started posting much more often just to get there. It wasn't exactly spam but if this happens to me then imagine the effect on the Linuses of the board...

I've never spammed or even just posted to get up post counts, so I often have trouble understanding people that do.

Occasionally, I have posted an awful lot in one day, but not spam, and not purposely increasing my post count.

I like post counts because I like competition A LOT. I was in the war of posts for a while but even when we still had post counts I cooled down and just posted normally eventually but if you bring them back I promise a rampage of posts from me. I shall not hold back. PLLLLLLEEEEAAAASE DO IT!
