Well if the whole reason for the extra $1 per character is to prevent people for committing a sort of suicide sabatoge against an opposing faction it would seem to me that a more feasable option would be to simply put some sort of cap on just how much any one person's deaths count towards the wild faction per day per zone. Something reasonable enough so that characters can still die enough to make a slight difference but not to the point of setting up a death-chain while you're off at school or work and come home to find the monsters in control. Besides, I think even with the extra $1 charge, people (spoiled rich kids) will still use this sort of exploit/cheat. I wouldn't be surprised to see the game implement this sort of modification down the road at some point. I won't deny that the extra $1 won't cause some people to avoid cheating from a strictly monetary standpoint, but I think it was more of a profit margin issue and not one of deterence.
