Hey...This is my story too.
it's a tie between the solitary robot from ff1 and Guido from ff5.
I've never really thought about this, but Kefka seems like a good choice, come to think of it. I think the perfect party would be Kefka, Guido, Mid and Unne.
You know you want a robot in your party. Think how much he would own.
Why have a robot when you have two brilliant scholars, a psychotic clown and a kung-fu turtle?
either Mid or Unne could be replaced as it is clear only one brilliant philosopher is needed while a lonely robot would obviously do things.
I would have a party comprised of Dr. Tot, Arylon the Dancer, and Bugenhagen (Hoooo Ho Ho)
In response to the first post, General Leo isn't an NPC, as we get to play as him!
Anyway - in good ol' ff4 tradition of 5 chars, Reno, Seto, Bugenhagen, the Dwarf King and Garland(FFI garland, not FFIX)
gill from ff5
One should know real emptiness as the state where there is no obscurity and the clouds of confusion have cleared away-Miyamoto Musashi
Sephiroth, Ultimecia, Kuja and Ex-Death
FFIII could have been even better if it had the capacity for five-member parties so that those guest characters (Sara, Cid, Desh, Elia, Allus, Dorga, and Unne) could actually contribute to the cause instead of uselessly tagging behind the heroes. They each could have own their own fixed class, which would rob them of the versatility of the main party but probably compensate by giving them incredibly useful battle options, since none of them ever hang around for long anyway. It really could have worked since all have their own battle-size sprites already--not to mention they all look so darn cool. Oh man.
Sephiroth isn't an NPC.
