I usually prefer bladed weapons, but it depends on the game. In Tactics, guns own everything, but in any other game they're just a normal projectile weapon.
Blades (Swords, Katana, Knives, Axes, Lances, Claws, Shuriken, & Forks)
Projectile Weapons (Bows, Hands, Guns, Rackets, & Balls)
Blunt Objects (Staves, Hammers, Hands Again, Nunchaku, Rods, Clubs, & Sticks)
Completely Freaking Impractical Things (Books, Bells, Harps, Brushes, Dice, Cards, Darts, Headdresses, Megaphones, Flutes, Dolls, & Cloths)
Whips (Whips!)
