Kazaa lite virus warning

Just about 2 minutes ago when I tried to open up Kazaa lite I got the following message:

PE: Sheild: HEURISTIC VIRUS ALERT

File was altered! Maybe it is infected with a virus.


Should I worry, I cannot open up Kazaa lite, is there any way I can remedy this?

Scan with an antivirus program to get rid of it, or else do a google search on "HEURISTIC VIRUS" if that's the name of it, to see if there are directions for removing it. There are tons of viruses that use KaZaA to spread. Be careful what you download.

If you really must use Kazaa or Kazaa Lite of any sort, uninstall the program completely, make sure it's uninstalled by checking that the folder and file no longer exist, then reinstall again to get the original exe back, and see if it works again. If not, chances are it's a false alarm, although you shouldn't always put alerts down to false alarms so often
